Former Kop hero & Real Madrid player, Michael Owen completed his shock move to Premier League champs Manchester United. He joins the English champions on a 2 year deal with a 50,000 pounds weekly wage. Owen will not cost United any fee after the becoming a free agent after his contract with relegated Newcastle United expired.
Owen on his dream move, " I am now looking forward to being a Manchester United player. I hope to start winning real trophies that matters like the European Cup & the Premiership and not like the toy-like & meaningless trophies that I won during my time in Liverpool. Hopefully, I will also be in the World Cup squad for South Africa 2010".
United managed, Sir Alex Ferguson eager to reinforce his depletedforward line said, "Michael is a world class forward with a proven goalscoring record at the highest level & that has never been in question".
Owen will now lineup with friends & former England collegues Rio Ferdinand & Wayne Rooney to put himself in the frame for Fabio Capello's England & start collecting his 1st ever meaningful trophy in his career.

My two cents worth on this Owen to united...why should Liverpool sign a player who had 2 chances before this to sign for us and REJECTED it...
1)2003 he says he would sign but instead gone to Madridsect for cheap...
2)than in 2008 got the chance to choose Liverpool or Newcastle, CHOSE newcastle bcoz of Money..
And to make it worse De-graded himself by signing for MANUre..how LOW can he go??
Never would we sign such a pathetic human being..
But, he's a crock, waste of money, spends time more on the bench and in horse races than on field anyways. So MANUre fans, beware, his 27page brochure might be nice but he is actually a liverpool MOLE that kills MANUre from INSIDE!!
