NATS Family Day at Janda Baik

Last weekend, laughter and giggles rang out at Janda Baik. NATS were in town. The NATS Family Day was a blast. Those that made the event a memorable one were:

I hope I didn't left anyone out from the list above. My words wont do the occassion any justice. So, I'll let the pictures do the talking. Hope we can organise it as an annual event with more activities and maybe create a "Family VS Family Competition" with a prize like a hamper gift to be won.

World Cup 2010 South Africa Draw Increases the Heat

Last Friday, in South Africa, the World Cup 2010 draw was held in a glittering affair. After the dust settled, Group G was considered the Group of Death as Brazil, Portugal and the Ivory Coast were drawn together with North Korea.

So, which team is your favourite & NATS maybe can have a World Cup viewing like 4 years ago with the BBQ, games and food. Lets make it happen!

Bowling at Megalanes Alam Sental 5/12/09

"Asik2 bolaaaaaa jjjjeee!!!!"

Ahhh the criticism from our beloved spouses ... To lessen the naggings, NATS decided to change a little of its sports activity to bowling yesterday 5/12/09. As we know its a more family orientated sport and not that difficult to have fun. From cucu to grandma were having laughs watching and trying out bowling. "Alllaaa.... balinggg jeee...biarlahh masukkk longkangg" said Zareef summing up how easy bowling can be. Some of us took it literally.

Even Wafi enjoyed himself. He was sooo excited, he played 2 games simultaneously and one of it is on a dedicated personal lane. His so called practice lane. I realized he was more into it than anybody else when he complained "aku dah agak dahhh.. mesti budak2 ni lambat. Kita main dulu je lahhhh.. aku dah tak sabar dah ni" but in actual fact it was only 5 minutes after the promised time. "rilexx lahh uncle waffii" was the response I asked Zareef to say but he didnt play along sebab sayang kat Uncle Wafi dia kot.

No doubt some of us were good bowlers while others more in it for the fun (Shahrul nye alasan selalu.. especially kalau Su lebih dari dia). You can see the individual scores at the attached points table. Some of us were proven to be hustlers such as Shahrul Ketua with has his own personalized Bowling ball, shoes and ala Michael Jackson Bowling Gloves. Because of this, he was our best player... (ala kalau kita ada barang2 sendiri pun kita boleh terorrrr!!). Laily was great too but Shah somehow made her drop points (ke the other way around). But the most stylo bowler had to go to Zareef. Gaya macam nak baling gajah but the bowl didnt even make it to the other end nevermind the pins. The girls too had their own way of bowling. The theme was slowly but surely at an average bowling speed of a grandma crossing the streets.

A little about the venue - Megalanes Plaza Alam Sentral. The place was really nice. Newly renovated and convenient. Price per game was RM5.50 while the shoes rental was RM2.00. Although the games had a few technical glitches everything went fine. The only complain was from Wafi when he argued at the counter about the staff saying not enough change while she didnt even checked (Wafi nye customer service standard tinggi).

The best part to me was, the women and children of NATS had their own small gathering as they dont really met each other as often as we men (bestnye jadi laki2). There were Maz, Su, expecting Siti Farah, Laily Fathiatul, Jiha and the kids - Zareef, Zara, Shania, Ariana. I dont really know what they say or topic they talk about (rahsia kaum hawa) but it seems they enjoyed the change in conversation (kalau cakap ngan laki2 diorang mesti pasal bola lah, kemas rumah lah, beli pampers lah). I just hope they didnt spend all the conversation on New Moon and Twilight.

Soooo... lets hope we can to this on other occasions especially the family to family activities. This is important so that everybody is happpyyyyy and no more naggginggsss!!

NATS Activity : Bowling Game

Kapow!!! Thats the sweet sound of pins being destroyed by a bowling ball.

One of the activites that NATS want to arrange is to have a friendly bowling game/outing where the family and kids can come together for a round of friendly bowling. The main purpose is to get the family to come together and to have fun.

 Teams are to be consist of pairs (husband & wife) or (boyfriend & girlfriend) or (partners & partners). The last one was meant for Wafi. Just joking Wafi.

Venue proposed is Pusat Boling at Plaza Alam Sentral, Shah Alam (Tingkat 4). Date is 5th December 2009, in the morning around 11.00. The time will be determined/confirmed later and informed when we get the participation needed.

Midweek Friendly with UITM Staff

Mazleen invited a few NATS members to join in a game of futsal at Bintang Supermarket Section 7 on Tuesday night against a UITM Staff team. NATS members that made themselves available were Mazleen, Bokhari, Mazlan & Lukman. The team also had 2 of Mazleen's friends Aru & Kimie.

The other team wore blue uniforms and looked like gempak gaklah cos wearing jersey.

The game started off slowly and eventually picked up its pace towards the end. Overall, a good work out and hopefully NATS can have 2 games per week. Proposed to have one 1 hour session and NATS Sunday Futsal which is 2 hours as usual.

NATS Family Day

Hello rakan2 yg sangat happening...

Boring kan sejak kebelakangan ini? Takde activity apa2. So what say you kalau kita buat our own Family Day. Here are the tentative details:

Location: Janda Baik (Very family friendly) and about 1 hour drive je.
Date: 12/12/09 Saturday
Time: Bertolak kul 7am from Shah Alam until tengahari
Activity: BBQ, Mandi Sungai cetek, our own activity futsal ke, treasure hunt ke...
Price: RM 25 for adult for the BBQ and tempat. Kids free (TGI style)
Confirm pergi: Zul +family, Faizal Sani + wife, Amru + GF, Fariz + tunang.

As per Amru ada sungai cetek dan bersih sesuai for the kids, tandas cantik sesuai untuk Shah buat project, padang besar sesuai untuk main bola, bilik2 sesuai untuk nursing mothers, banyak tempat chill untuk expecting mothers. Kesimpulannya tempat tu rilex giler (I emphasize as per Amru).

Molek?? Of Course... just tell me when!!

Shahrul's Molek -best restaurant in town according to him.

Yesterday i had nasi kerabu for berbuka. It was good but not Molek Good. There wasnt enough tumis, so i whined to the wife. She said if you want proper nasi kerabu, we had to go to Molek's. Here is a picture(not enhanced macam Mc D's) of what we mean by proper Nasi Kerabu.

Keeping in mind, bulan puasa wont be complete without breaking fast at Molek's and we promised each other to do so (Shahrul kinda coaxed us into it). Nobody can refuse. Good food, good price, great location, easy parking, environment bagus, tauke hensem and why not support a friends business.

So its a matter of organizing it. So this entry is also an invitation for those who would like to open fast together. If possible, lets do it this friday 4th Sept. I'll call Shahrul and try to invite everybody through SMS. Will contact you soon.

Bukak puasa NATS part II

I just called up Sunway Hotel.. and its true they give 50% discount but only for citibank credit card holders and 35% if your not a citibank holder... the only problem is that the offer is from 21 to 27 August 2009 & 16 to 19 September 2009... kalau nak buat this friday tak dapat discount... thursday dapat... so saya cadangkan kita buat this thursday at Sunway Hotel.. and harap salah satu dari kita ada citibank credit card and limit tinggi...

Bukak Puasa NATS

Bak kata Shahrul dah 6 kali AJK jumpa tapi belum2 lagi buat keputusan untuk bukak puasa kat mana. Ada yg mintak buffet 1000 jenis, ada yg nak makan masakan wife Bo, ada nak Mc D, ada nak BBQ etc etc.... So here is a short list please leave your preference after reading this and tentatively the date is this friday 28/8/09 (7th Ramadan) :

1. Molek seksyen 7 (3 star) - Kelantan delights, Packed, harga ok, tauke hensem
2. TGI Subang Parade (4 star) - value for money especially yg 3 course meal RM30+, ala carte, western, air bottomless
   
3. Hotel Sunway (5 star) - Buffet best. rasanya first week 1/2 price from RM 80 but to be confirmed (shahrul tolong call kakak soraya eh)
4. D'tandoor near SJMC (4 star) - Buffet murah RM 30+ and fresh sebab tak ramai org tapi limit sikit makanan, northern Indian cuisine.
   
5. Thai restaurant (bawah TGI) Subang Parade (4 Star) - Dont know the price, local food.
6. Tarbush Sunway Pyramid (5 star) - Arab restoran, harga mahal sikit tapi authentic, ala carte, environment best.
7. KFC seksyen 2 - dekat ngan sekolah lama, nostalgia, murah,

NATS Friendly Futsal

On the 30th July 2009, Nats telah mengadakan friendly futsal yang di organised oleh Lukman kita... Kehadiran Lukman sebagai kapitan team yg dianggotai oleh ahli nats Zul, Fadzli, Shah, Mazlan, Mazleen and Keish (bo dan afnan x dpt hadir atas sebab2 tertentu).

Permainan yg menarik dari kedua dua pasukan... slow and steady game... Kita dapat melihat aksi aksi player nats ngan kebolehan mereka : antaranya;

1. Shah (banyak assist dari score sbb x kira points, so x kejar mata)
2. Fadzli Sung (Midfielder terbaik - walaupun awal2 nak buang air besar, hehe)
3. Zul (Ketangkasan merampas bola dari opponent, score byk)
4. Mazlan ( Finisher dan dribbling bola yg mantap - hasil dari stokin ajaib kot)
5. Mazleen (Bertungkus lumus menjadi keeper terbaik)
6. Lukman (ehem, ehem - berlakon termantap dan tip top mcm ala2 hindustan, hahaha)

NATS Logo Competition

Meng'happening'kan diri ideas?

Our way/concept of inviting people (Shahrul started it off/pioneer). I guess it started off because everybody got pissed due to the lame excuses followed by the much inticipated no or just tired of ppl being mengada2.

Contohnye: B*, jom pergi minum. B* replies: oklah oklahh(bunyi macam fed-up kena ajak)!!!.. tapi blah blah blah etc.
(angin je dengar.... like he's doing us a favour kalau ikut sekali).
kan senang kalau cakap nak or tak nak je.

This favourite concept/saying is now being adopted into our community blogspot site nakatautaksaje.blogspot.com Its a wonderful idea by Bo to create this website but kinda ironic (u'll understand if u know bo.. tapi dia dah ubah.. hes a YES MAN now) . I'm hoping its a great way to be updated about others in the same geng.

Initially bo decided it was going to be a futsal kinda site but i see it being more of a community site. We suggested to put all kinds of things from bday/activity calender, polls, accounts sheet, invitations, contact lists and so forth. lets see how it goes. its gonna be hard to get it up and ppl supporting it but i'll do my part. So mintak2 bo adds me as an author.
